I know a secret

my conclusion: LA Rocks! you ask "why?" well, I just got back from the LA drupal meeting (hosted by RMI training facility - which is sweet!)... and though the meeting was a little disorganized, it still mostly flowed and was a really good sharing session that helped get back into the flow. In fact, I learned something really effin cool - but I was made to swear not to tell anyone about it. :-P damn! If you were at the meeting you know what I'm talking about... if you weren't and you want to know... AND you're in an LA drupal person - contact me or come to the next meeting. But if you're a drupal themer, I'm not sure you'll want to wait that long. ;-)

ok, enough about secrets... what did we do... well, I'll try to come back and clean this up - I didn't take very good notes - but here's what I remember:

SCALE: drupal marketing

we discussed scale (details will go on the wiki on gdo)

other stuff

we meandered into marketing and LA drupal group as a whole, and this is where my notes really suck.

future meetings structure

we discussed the foundation of a meeting structure for future meetings. chris might have a potty mouth, but he knows how to focus!

  1. Introductions
  2. Short presentation for "drupal newbies" - presenter to rotate
  3. At least one main presentation per meeting (which will hopefully be recorded/streamed for use on dojo).
  4. A breakout session where group works on drupal issues - e.g., add features / mods / patches / upgrades / theming to ladrupal.org.

introductions & breakout

we had introductions and then someone shared a cool announcement - (the secret - damn, I know you wish you had remembered to go)

we went home

then we all b.s.'d for a bit and drove home on empty LA fwy's at 930/10pm on a tuesday night

Shhhhhhh

Shhhhhhhhhh.
